Straight to the Pool Room
Michelle from Emerald had been following my work for some time and had dreamed of commissioning her own piece of her precious pets.

After visiting my Puffing Billy Exhibition 'Animal Tales' at Emerald Lake Park, her partner was finally able to visualise what was possible.

Michelle brought their elderly dalmatian, Molly into studio as the first priority. Molly's health had been deteriorating, and we knew we had little time left with her. I photographed Molly as she slowly moved around the studio, being sure to capture as many angles as possible, knowing that I could not come back for a redo shoot. Sadly, Molly left this world just a few days after her photos had been taken.
At this point in time I didn't know how the final piece would look. There were so many potential ideas including the pets playing in the swimming pool, eating at a table and more.

But when I visited the property and we finished up the tour in the 'Pool Room', I could immediately envision the artwork. The fact that there was wall space in the room behind the bar, meant that this artwork could be designed to fit right into it's surroundings.

I can be commissioned for pet and family artwork, however, I only take on a few of these each year. If you'd like to book and arrange your own custom art piece you can visit the online shop: https://shop.storyart.com.au/product-category/session/
